Mobile Analytics for Omni-Channel Advertising Performance

In response to customer requests, I led the design of a dedicated mobile version of our digital advertising analytics dashboard. Although the original platform functioned well on desktop, users wanted a standalone app for easier access and improved experience. We saw the opportunity to enhance both usability and marketability.

Objective

The goal of this project was to convert the existing design into a mobile friendly version. Due to time constraints, we made a collective decision to focus solely on the campaigns and analytics pages.

Final Product

Page shows "live," "ended," and "paused" campaigns by default since they have analytics. The "Show all" toggle enables the user to view all campaign types, but cannot drill down if there's no associated analytics.

Mobile analytics utilizes a two column grid which strikes a good balance of information density and legibility.

Outcome

The update was received well by our customers as a convenient way to view analytics. It quickly became a valuable tool for our customer acquisition team and was featured in both our sales materials and marketing site. The mobile analytics remains a core experience of the product to this day.

Retrospective

At the time of this project, I was still gaining experience with responsive design. I provided engineers with isolated mobile mockups without giving much thought to how layouts would adjust across different screen sizes. With my current understanding, I would approach the project differently—reverse engineering components to be more flexible and dynamically responsive across all devices.
